Hello... I know it's been a while, but the past month has been a BLUR! Cat and I delivered "The Remainder of Unusable Equations" to the WMA July 15th, headed to visit her family's farm in Mississippi for the weekend, drove home, headed back to Dothan for the WMA's B16 opening, and then headed home where I have been on a roll working on many new large sculptures and a whole new batch of works on paper! To say the least, we haven't had a spare moment to update the news blog.
This week I would like to feature a public/outdoor sculpture entitled, "Techno-Primitive II". It is the second of a series of two. They are both large-scale sculptures featuring giant ceramic "heads" in the middle of steel sprues. The ceramic heads feature many layers of different glazes, including a "top secret" glaze that I invented in order for the head to have a very textured surface.
