Here's a quick update on one of Ralph's newest in-progress large-scale sculptures, currently entitled, "The Promise". He has been spending hours upon hours painstakingly sanding this piece in order to create the highest quality finish possible. He and I have been talking about ideas about colors/patterns. As summer begins to wind down, my goal is to start and finish casting the first sculpture from the first of the three molds that I have been working on this summer. I will update you all in a couple of days with that process. In the meantime, here’s a picture of what I just finished, which was casting the mold to the second shape. Hey Everyone! The resin finally arrived and I was able to get the first, largest half of the mold casted. Afer that, I made bracing for it, and then Cat came out to help me flip it so I can create the 2nd piece of this 4-part mold. When it comes to casting molds of the organic shapes that I make, it can be rather tricky.
