Sculptures in Progress

Just a quick update before we head out to deliver "The Remainder of Unusable Equations" to the Biennial Exhibition at the Wiregrass Museum of Art next week... Hey Everyone, Just thought I'd keep ya in the loop! While I've been working on how I want to finished 2 more "Knots" and "The Promise", I've begun casting 2 more large-scale sculptures. "The Promise", Sculpture in Progress

Here's a quick update on one of Ralph's newest in-progress large-scale sculptures, currently entitled, "The Promise". He has been spending hours upon hours painstakingly sanding this piece in order to create the highest quality finish possible. He and I have been talking about ideas about colors/patterns. Featured Sculpture: Techno-Primitive II

This week I would like to feature a public/outdoor sculpture entitled, "Techno-Primitive II". It is the second of a series of two. They are both large-scale sculptures featuring giant ceramic "heads" in the middle of steel sprues. The ceramic heads feature many layers of different glazes, including a "top secret" glaze that I invented in order for the head to have a very textured surface. Studio Nearly Finished, Time to Work!

Studio Update!

Today is Tuesday, it is has been raining since last Wednesday and it is supposed to continue raining into the weekend! I wasn't aware the Southeast had been transported to the Pacific Northwest. This has put a damper on our ability to continue reonvations to the new studio. However, it can't completely stop us!
